Atal Luanr passenger side of the moon's lunar map was created by American Luanr Orbiter probes in the late 60s, in a landing site for Apollo astronauts to find sutiable Atal and I have this complete. Many areas at different times and days indicated on the lunar surface, large differences between light and shade from the sun over the mountains and craters on the Moon, then a good idea of lunar landscapes and the mountain peaks. In each area, I chose a prominent featureas craters, luanr mont, or lunar sea that best defined the region.

It must be almost 50 years since I last read Ayn Rand's classic, libertarian, "objectivist" novel, Atlas Shrugged, the central theme of which is reflected in the title. Published in 1957, it was her final and longest fictional work, what she determined her masterpiece.
Atlas in Greek mythology was condemned by Zeus to bear the weight of the heavens, or universe, on his shoulders for his insolence to the gods. (A very brief, lighthearted, list of Atlas' infraction and punishment can be found on my website.)
Map Atlas
While I have never fully subscribed to libertarianism and less so to Rand's philosophy of "Objectivism," I've all the time admired her thesis in Atlas that the world is dependent on the intelligent, capable do-ers, the makers and shakers who built and maintain the world in contradistinction to the takers and moochers of the world, oblivious to the truth that should the makers disappear the takers' world would collapse.

That is actually what happens in the novel. In effect, Atlas shrugs, says he's had enough of the crippling effects of punishing the do-ers and takes off, leaving the moochers to take care of things. With the world devoid of the makers and shakers, they don't do very well.
Ayn Rand outlined her beliefs in the 35th anniversary edition of Atlas Shrugged: "My philosophy, in essence, is the understanding of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with efficient achievement as his noblest activity, and infer as his only absolute."
Her novel is more relevant than ever today for America and the rest of the Western World as creeping socialism is becoming galloping socialism. The only ask is not the repetitive catchphrase of the novel, "Who is [the protagonist] John Galt?" but rather, "Can and will Atlas shrug once again and dump the takers from his back?"
It's wishful mental but we can all wish, right? So, I wish that mythological Titan, the deity of crushing burdens, gives just a tiny shrug and then let's see how well society's leeches and hangers-on subsist.
My guess is that, as in Atlas Shrugged, they wouldn't do very well.

Cyprus, the Uk's favourite holiday island, has an inspiring history. Cyprus was a British colony and obtained independence in 1960 any way the affect of the British is still seen here. Post independence the tensions between Greek Cypriot majority and Turkish Cypriot minority came to a boiling point in December 1963 and a principal clash occurred in the capital of Nicosia, after this most Turkish Cypriots went into enclaves throughout the island.
In 1974 there was a Greek-sponsored effort to seize the government which met soldiery resistance from Turkey, which would soon operate over a third of the island. The Turkish-held area declared itself the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in 1983, but it is recognised only by Turkey.

The United Nations mediated a 24-month series of discussions between Greek and Turkish Cypriot authorities to arrive at a reunification accord. This came to an end when the Greek Cypriots voted against the U.N. Proposal. While the Greek Cypriot Republic of Cyprus alone became a member of the European Union on May 1st, 2004, any person who holds a Cyprus passport is now entitled to full European citizen status.
